Welkom in Vossieland!
Hoërskool John Vorster is geleë aan die ooste van Gauteng in die dorp Nigel. Dit is ‘n parallelmediumskool en daar is oorwegend Afrikaanse leerders. Ons staan in die dorp beter bekend as Vossieland en het sowat 690 leerders en 35 opvoedings personeellede.
In Vossieland fokus ons op meer as opvoeding van akademie, sport en kultuur, maar ons streef daarna om jong mense voor te berei op die uitdagings van die grootmens wêreld. Ons glo dat elke individu se potensiaal tot sy volle reg ontwikkel moet word en daarom hou ons jaarliks ‘n Prestige aand om al die prestasies van leerlinge te erken en te vier.
Die samewerking tussen onderwysers, ouers, kinders en die gemeenskap maak van ons ‘n besonderse skool met hoë standaarde wat gebou is op respek vir mekaar
Dit is ‘n voorreg om deel te wees van ‘n dinamiese groep mense met hoë ideale en toekomsdrome!

Welcome to John Vorster High School!
John Vorster High School is situated in the east of Gauteng in the town of Nigel. It is a parallel medium school with approximately 690 students of which 120 are English learners. We have approximately 35 teachers.
At John Vorster, we focus on more than academic education, sport and culture, but we strive to prepare young people for the challenges of the adult world. We believe that the potential of each individual must be developed to its fullest and we celebrate achievements annually at our Prestige evening.
The collaboration between teachers, parents, learners and the community makes John Vorster an exceptional school with high standards built on mutual respect for each other.
