Hockey at Hoërskool John Vorster
Hockey is one of the most popular seasonal sports at Hoërskool John Vorster, played by both boys and girls. It offers an excellent opportunity for team spirit, fitness, and strategic thinking. Our hockey teams compete during the second term in interschool matches and regional competitions.
Learners are thoroughly trained by dedicated coaches to develop their individual skills and team understanding. Hockey also teaches valuable life skills such as communication, adaptability, and perseverance — all aligned with our school motto: Volhard en Oorwin.

The final minute before the 1st team takes to the hockey field — tension, focus, and incredible team spirit just before the whistle blows.
